WorldTrend Smart Guard Tour Platform

Guards patrol by phone. Clients watch on the web. The monitoring centre keeps track in real time.

A replacement for traditional guard tour systems. No tour wands, no card readers — a phone is the checkpoint reader, and clients can see the results. Every round is backed by time, location and photos, so you know not just that someone came by, but what they checked.

Overview: KPIs, site cards, open incidents
A round: checkpoint progress and next point
Platform screens are real captures from a demo environment; site and personnel names are fictitious. Interface shown in Traditional Chinese.
WHY

What traditional guard tour systems get wrong

Tour wands must be downloaded back at the office; clients get a report at month-end that only says when a point was touched.
Check-ins upload instantly; clients log in any time and see a photo from every checkpoint.
A broken button, a flat battery or a forgotten wand means no record for the whole night.
Scan a QR sticker or arrive by GPS; with no signal, check in offline and it syncs later.
Scheduling, assigning and catching missed rounds all depend on someone watching.
Rounds are scheduled and assigned to the site's guards automatically; a reminder goes out when a round is due, and after the grace period it is logged as missed and the monitoring centre is notified.
Problems on site are reported by phone, leaving no evidence afterwards.
Guards report incidents in the app with category, severity and photos; the monitoring centre and client follow them through to closure.
An alarm during a patrol leaves two jobs competing for one guard.
Alarms come first: the patrol pauses automatically and resumes after the alarm is handled, with both records intact.
THREE ROLES

Three roles, three screens

Guards patrol with the WorldTrend Dispatch app, clients view records and set checkpoints on the web platform, and the WorldTrend monitoring centre tracks every round on a live board. Everyone sees the same data.

ROLE 1 | GUARD

The phone is the tour reader (WorldTrend Dispatch app)

QR scan or GPS arrival

Each checkpoint gets a QR sticker printed from the platform; scanning it checks in. Outdoor points can use GPS arrival with no sticker. If a scan is made too far from the checkpoint's GPS position, it is flagged for attention and recorded.

Photos and one-tap notes

Set which points require a photo; notes come with presets such as "All normal", "Door unlocked — now locked" or "Light out".

Incident reports

Unlocked door, signs of intrusion, suspicious person, equipment fault, fire hazard, water leak, lighting — choose a category, set severity, add photos and send. The monitoring centre gets it immediately.

Works offline

No signal in the basement? Check in anyway; records sync automatically and are marked as offline entries.

Reminders and alarm priority

Push notifications when a round is due, overdue or newly assigned. If an alarm is dispatched mid-round, the patrol pauses; after reporting, tap "Resume patrol".

No need to press start

Scanning the first point starts the round; starting early triggers a reminder but is not blocked. Every past round, point and photo stays searchable.

ROLE 2 | CLIENT

See it on the web any time, set your own checkpoints

Clients log in with their mobile number — the same account as the WorldTrend Security app, with no separate sign-up. Clients with several sites see them all on one page.

Site settings

Add checkpoints yourself (name, location, check-in method, photo required, task at the point) and set patrol plans (fixed times, rounds per time slot, or every few minutes). WorldTrend assigns the guards — you don't manage people.

Print QR stickers

Generate a PDF of the whole site's QR stickers in one click; stick them up and go.

ROLE 3 | WORLDTREND MONITORING CENTRE

Live board, dispatch and incident handling

Today's board refreshes every 60 seconds

Status of every round (pending, in progress, completed, missed, interrupted by alarm), progress and incidents.

Assign, add, reassign

Assign pending rounds in one click, add an extra round, and reassign or cancel with a full log. With default guards and patrol zones set per site, new rounds go to the site's guards automatically.

Incident workflow

Accept, in progress, close or escalate — results sync back to the client platform.

FOR STATIONED GUARD SITES

Made for stationed-guard sites

Stationed guards patrol their sites every day, yet management committees, property managers and facility teams often see only a report at month-end. With the Smart Guard Tour Platform, every round leaves a live record of time, location and photos that the client can open at any time.

Clients can see the patrols

Committees, property managers or facility teams log in any time to see each round's time, checkpoints, photos and guard — no waiting for month-end.

A phone replaces the tour wand

No wands or readers to buy; put up QR stickers and start. Check-ins work even without signal in the basement.

Missed rounds caught at once

Guards are reminded when a round is due; after the grace period it is logged as missed and the monitoring centre is notified.

Evidence for every issue

Unlocked doors, leaks and faulty equipment are reported with photos; clients follow progress, and the monthly PDF report downloads in one click.

STANDALONE OR INTEGRATED

Use it on its own, or with Eagle Eye AI

Standalone: replace your tour system

A phone and a few QR stickers are all it takes — no on-site equipment to change. It works even at sites without a WorldTrend alarm hub or cameras: residential communities, factories, warehouses, campuses, car parks and construction sites.

With Eagle AI Cloud Patrol Platform

  • Human rounds + AI rounds in one record: Eagle Eye AI patrols cameras around the clock for people, vehicles, doors and windows, flooding or missing hard hats, while the Smart Guard Tour Platform covers checks that need a person on site.
  • The start, checkpoints, completion and incidents of every guard round flow back to the Eagle Eye command centre, so operators see what the AI saw and what the guard checked on one screen.
  • In the WorldTrend Security app's video patrol section, each site has two tabs: Alerts (events and frames detected by AI) and Inspection records (guard rounds plus AI video snapshots).
Eagle AI Cloud Patrol Platform

With Eagle Eye Video Surveillance

  • Alarm dispatch and patrols on one line: when the command centre detects an issue, it can dispatch the site's guard directly, with AI snapshots, video and instructions; the guard accepts, attends and reports in the same app.
  • Alarms take priority: a guard on patrol who receives an alarm task has the patrol paused automatically and resumed afterwards, so neither record breaks.
  • If operators are not satisfied with a report, they can send it back for another check with a reason, and the guard's app shows exactly what to recheck.

Security and reliability
  • Accounts: clients and guards log in with mobile number and password, with SMS verification and biometric sign-in.
  • Data: records and photos are stored on Google Cloud in Taiwan; clients see only the sites they are authorised for.
  • Offline: the app checks in offline, so no data is lost for lack of signal.
  • QR security: every sticker code is unique and can be reissued; the old sticker stops working once reissued.
  • Audit: assignment, reassignment, cancellation and incident handling are all logged.
FAQ

Smart Guard Tour Platform FAQ

Do we need to buy guard tour equipment?

No. Guards check in by scanning QR stickers with their phones, and outdoor points can use GPS arrival with no sticker. The platform generates a PDF of the QR stickers for you to print, and the service is ready once activated.

Can sites without a WorldTrend alarm hub or cameras use it?

Yes. The platform works on its own with just a phone and a few QR stickers, without changing any on-site equipment — suitable for communities, factories, warehouses, campuses, car parks and construction sites.

Can guards check in where there is no signal?

Yes. The app checks in offline and syncs automatically once back in signal; those records are marked as offline entries and nothing is lost.

How do we know the guard actually reached the point?

Each QR scan is checked against GPS, and scans made too far from the point are flagged and recorded. Photos carry time and location. Every QR code is unique, and reissuing a sticker deactivates the old one.

Can clients set their own checkpoints and patrol times?

Yes. Clients add checkpoints (name, location, check-in method, photo requirement, task at the point) and patrol plans (fixed times, rounds per slot, or every few minutes), and the system generates the schedule. WorldTrend assigns the guards.

What happens if a round is not started on time?

The app reminds the guard when the round is due. After the grace period the system logs a missed round and notifies the monitoring centre; the client sees it in the overview too.

What if an alarm comes in during a patrol?

Alarms come first. The monitoring centre dispatches the alarm task to the guard on patrol and the patrol pauses automatically; after reporting, the guard taps "Resume patrol" and both records stay complete.

How do clients log in, and where is the data stored?

Clients log in with their mobile number and password — the same account as the WorldTrend Security app — with SMS verification and biometric sign-in. Records and photos are stored on Google Cloud in Taiwan, and clients see only the sites they are authorised for.
